The Grand Final of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge took place on 3 July at the Cambridge Theatre, highlighting the capacity of young people to get their message across. This year the Speakers Trust, funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation, trained over 18,000 young people who competed at school level, then at borough level. The top 15 finalists battled it out to become the winner of one of the world’s largest public speaking championships, in front of an audience of 1,000 people.
