Ahead of conducting his final concert at the Barbi

Ahead of conducting his final concert at the Barbican Centre as the London Symphony Orchestra’s Music Director, Sir Simon Rattle will be centre stage at the Barbican Music Library for a unique tribute to his remarkable career.

On 15th June Sir Simon will help unveil a bronze bust, created in his honour by Frances in recognition of his five decades in classical music.

The sculpture has been donated by Sir Jack and Lady Petchey to the charity, Help Musicians, which has been working hard to make a meaningful difference to the lives of musicians across the UK for over 100 years.

Ahead of the Coronation, Royal sculptor Frances Se

Ahead of the Coronation, Royal sculptor Frances Segelman has created a new bronze sculpture of King Charles III.

Previously Segelman sculpted the then Prince of Wales in 2014 at Highgrove, marking the 40th anniversary of The Prince's Trust.

Her latest sculpture of King Charles is an up to date, life-and-a half-sized rendition, depicting how the new King will be seen on Coronation Day.

It was cast at Bronze Age Foundry in Limehouse, London and will be unveiled at a new exhibition of Segelman’s work later this year, which will also include a series of miniature bronze sculptures of the Royal Family, diamond dust prints of King Charles, and a six foot stainless steel throne sculpture.

The Countess of Wessex, the Patron, of the Vision Foundation, achieved a "Royal First" by sitting for Frances in a unique socially distanced sculpting, which was live streamed to Vision Foundation supporters and guests. It is a tactile piece designed for blind and partially sighted people.

It was a privilege to sculpt fellow vice president

It was a privilege to sculpt fellow vice president of @vision_fdn Lord David Blunkett at an event this week used to raise awareness of the incredibly important issue of domestic abuse in the sight loss community.

Vision Foundation has published the first ever research into the shocking scale and prevalence of domestic abuse among blind and partially sighted people. The research reveals that one in 12 visually impaired people in the UK is believed to be a victim or survivor of this abuse which affects both men and women.

A special funding round will be launched in the coming weeks so that organisations can apply for grants to deliver this work. They are seeking co-funders and donations towards this funding pot. See @vision_fdn for more details.

Majesty: A Tribute to the Queen

Excited to announce a new and historic royal exhibition in London that will bring together three renowned royal artists with unique perspectives of the Queen for the very first time.

The exhibition, which opens in Tribute to Her Majesty on 28th September at Quantus Gallery features the work of Rob Munday, Frances Segelman and Christian Furr, all of whom have portrayed the Queen during her life variously through photography, holography, painting and sculpture.
